Pressure Cooker Rice

Ingredients:

1 cup white rice, I used Basmati

1 cup cool water

1 teaspoon oil


Directions:

  1. Pour 1 cup of rice into the inner pot of your Deluxe Multi Cooker. Add just enough cool water to cover the rice and agitate the rice with your hand. While mixing you'll see the water becomes cloudy. Pour off the excess water without dumping out the rice, and fill with water again. Repeat this process until the water is clear and no longer cloudy.

  2. Place your inner pot back into your Deluxe Multi Cooker. Add 1 cup of cool water, and 1 teaspoon of oil to the inner pot.

  3. Turn the wheel to the "White Rice" setting for 4 minutes. Press and hold the start button.

  4. Once the timer goes off, let the rice manually release for 10 minutes before releasing the pressure.

  5. After the 10 minutes is up, press the pressure release button, carefully remove the lid. Fluff your rice with a fork, and enjoy!

Chefie Stephie Tip:

This recipe can be doubled, or tripled as long as you follow the 1:1 ratio of water to rice.
