Steenbeke Egg Nog

Ingredients
6 eggs, separated
1/2 cup sugar
5 cups whole milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup whipped cream
Directions
In a large bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Slowly add yolks one at a time, mixing after each addition. Blend in sugar, then add milk and vanilla. Fold in 1/2 the whipped cream and refrigerate.
When ready to serve, pour into glasses and add a dollop of whipped cream on top and sprinkle with nutmeg.
